FAMILY FUNDRAISING OBLIGATION

The increasing cost of operating and maintaining Damien High School’s programs and facilities exceeds what the school charges in tuition and receives from other fundraising activities. To help close this financial gap, all Damien families are expected to fulfill a Family Fundraising Obligation by making a contribution of $500 or more annually. These financial contributions strengthen our school community, support the many educational and extracurricular opportunities for students, and help keep tuition affordable. Families can fulfill their fundraising obligation in one of the following ways:
  1. Securing a sponsorship or becoming a sponsor for one of Damien’s two major fundraising events: the Annual Dinner-Dance Gala or the Annual Golf Tournament.
  2. Providing a direct financial contribution of $500 or more to Damien High School.
Families who do not meet their fundraising requirements by March 31, 2025, will be charged $500 (or the remaining balance) through their FACTS account. The family fundraising obligation is separate from the family service hours requirement.

*Please note: Your annual fundraising obligation does not begin until the 2024-25 academic year.

DIRECT DONATIONS
While we greatly appreciate your financial support to our incredible programs, including band and music, robotics, debate, drama, athletics, and others, please understand that direct donations to individual Damien programs do not qualify for Parent Service Hours or Family Obligation.
SERVICE HOURS

Each family is required to complete 30 hours of volunteer service from April 1 to March 31 of the following year. Any unfulfilled hours will be billed to your FACTS account at $35 per hour.
  1. The 30-hour annual requirement is per family, regardless of the number of sons attending Damien in a given year.
  2. Students cannot fulfill their annual service requirement by volunteering for events on TRACK IT FORWARD.
  3. All families are responsible for fulfilling 30 hours, including single-parent households.
  4. If a parent volunteer cancels their service commitment less than 24 hours prior to the start of an event, those hours will be forfeited, and they will be charged a cancellation fee of $35 within their FACTS account.
To sign up and begin volunteering and accruing Family Service Hours, please follow the steps below:
  • Set up an account by logging into the Track It Forward website and creating a username and password. You will sign in and register under Damien High School.
  • Once you have created an account you will be able to do the following:
    • View and register for volunteer opportunities
    • Log in your hours or donation once completed (must be logged in within two weeks of completing or donating)
    • Track the service hours that you have completed
Some events may require donations of items rather than work completed. Only donations requested in Track it Forward will be accepted. These donations must be logged and a receipt submitted to the event coordinator within 2 weeks of donating (No Exceptions).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • It is advisable to fulfill your hours early in the school year. There is no guarantee that there will be available activities near the end of the year.
