Pennies for Patients – Spartans Helping to Find A Cure

The Damien tradition of supporting the cause to find a cure and fight cancer will begin this month. Spartans will participate in the “Pennies for Patients” for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The mission of LLS is to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. Pennies for Patients improves the quality of life of patients and their families. Donations from Pennies for Patients help families of patients pay for medicines, doctor visits, and other treatment-related expenses, in addition to help funding research focused on finding a cure. Damien High School joins 27,000 schools nationwide in the fight against blood cancer. For the next few weeks, our students will be collecting donations so that we can join the fight to find a cure. We asked the students to donate any loose change or bills they have on hand so we can end Leukemia and Lymphoma and improve lives everywhere. This year our goal is to raise $2,000. So please help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and your Spartans with the fight against cancer. The Student are collecting in their Theology class and having a competition with it. The class that collects the most money gets a pizza party. If you would like to help your son’s class and donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society you can do that with a check made out to LLS or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!

Go Spartans! Lets help with the fight against cancer. Thank you!!!
