We will be working on two leyendas this week:  "La Casa de los Azulejos" and "El Misterio de la Calle de Olmedo"  There will be a quiz over the leyendas on Thursday, May 19.  Extra credit flash cards for the two leyendas may be turned in on the day of the quiz for 2 points. Extra credit posters (student may choose one of these two leyendas--up to 10 points) are due on or before May 23.  No extra credit posters after May 23.  Extra credit vocabulary flash cards for Realidades 9A y 9B or any other chapter may be turned in on the day of the final exam.  

Las carpetas del argollas -- due el 13 de mayo

4th quarter binders are due May 13, if turned in May 12--5 points extra credit on binder.    No late work will be accepted after May 19.

In Capitulos 9A and 9B students will study and review the future tense which was first presented in the leyenda "Los novios."  We will continue to study the present subjunctive as it is used with expressions of doubt.  Since some students will be taking AP tests during the first two weeks of May, we will not have a test over Capitulos 9A or 9B during this time period.

Students will finish Capitulo 8B--a continuation of the uses and conjugations of the present subjunctive mood.  The test over Capitulos 8A and 8B will be on the Block Schedule days.

Students will begin to study the present subjunctive mood in Capítulo 8A this week.

Students will finish studying command forms this week--affirmative tú, negative tú, Ud. and Uds. command forms.  The test for Capítulos 7A and 7B will be on the Block Schedule days this week.

Students will begin studying Capítulos 7A and 7B.  The focus will be on command forms--affirmative tú, negative tú, Ud. and Uds. commands. The vocabulary for 7A will be related to food and cooking.

This week students will finish Capitulo 6A and begin 6B, studying verbs used with indirect object pronouns and the present perfect tense.

Students will begin Capítulo 6A  ¿Viste el partido en la televisión?  The vocabulary will deal with sports-related activities and competitions.  Students will study -ir stem-changing verbs in the preterite and other reflexive verbs.  Binders will be due on the Block Schedule days this week.

We will be studying Capitulo 5B  -- learning vocabulary which pertains to accidents and parts of the body.  The grammar will involve a review of irregular preterite verb conjugations and the imperfect progressive tense.  During class, students will be writing a dialogue with another student to describe accidents and injuries that happened to them.  Students will present the dialogues during class and turn in a written copy.

El 16 - el 19 de febrero, 2016

Students will be reading and translating "El enano de Uxmal" in class.  The test over 4 leyendas ("Las orejas del conejo," "El leon y el grillo," "Los novios," and "El enano de Uxmal")  will be on the Block Schedule days this week.

This week students will finish "El leon y el grillo" and begin "Los novios" in Leyendas Mexicanas.
