Math Team

The Damien Math Team was founded in 2021 with the mission of providing competition opportunities and promoting mathematics at Damien High School. Throughout the school year, team members will engage in regular practices and participate in regional and national competitions as a group or as individuals.

Mu Alpha Theta

Members of the Math Team will also be registered as members of the United States mathematics honor society for high school students if the following requirements are met:

Members must have completed the equivalent of two years of college preparatory mathematics courses, including algebra and/or geometry, and have completed or are enrolled in a third year of college preparatory mathematics course. For more information, visit https://mualphatheta.org/.

Competitions and Important Dates

AMERICAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITIONS

The American Mathematics Competitions are a series of examinations and curriculum materials that build problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge in middle and high school students. Damien High School offers both AMC 10 and AMC 12 every year.

MATH LEAGUE (CML)

Damien also offers the opportunity to participate in a series of Math League contests. These contests have a time limit of 30 minutes and will be administered after school in room 102.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH COMPETITION
