Spartan Ambassadors

The Spartan Ambassadors are student leaders who represent Damien High School to prospective families, visiting students, and the broader community. As the welcoming face of Damien, Ambassadors play an important role in sharing the story of our school and helping future Spartans experience the brotherhood that defines campus life.

Through campus tours, outreach visits, and admissions events, Spartan Ambassadors help prospective students discover what it means to grow as Men of Service, Scholarship, and Faith. Along the way, Ambassadors develop valuable leadership skills in communication, public speaking, marketing, and relationship building.

Serving as a Spartan Ambassador is both an honor and a responsibility. These students represent the values and spirit of Damien while helping families feel welcomed and excited about joining the Spartan community.
What Spartan Ambassadors Do
Spartan Ambassadors are actively involved in many admissions and outreach initiatives throughout the year. Ambassadors may assist with:

• Shadow Days for prospective students
• Middle school outreach visits
• High school fairs
• Open House and admissions events
• Special events on- and off-campus

By sharing their personal experiences at Damien, Spartan Ambassadors help future Spartans envision their own journey here.
Program Focus
The Spartan Ambassador program emphasizes leadership and outreach in three key areas:

Public Relations
Ambassadors represent Damien with professionalism and pride while interacting with visitors, families, and community partners.

Prospective Student Engagement
Ambassadors help younger students feel welcomed and supported as they explore Damien.

Marketing and Outreach
Ambassadors support the Admissions and Outreach team in promoting Damien through events, presentations, and campus experiences.
Commitment & Expectations
Serving as a Spartan Ambassador requires dedication and strong time management. Ambassadors must balance their leadership role with their academic, athletic and co-curricular responsibilities while maintaining satisfactory academic standing.

Program expectations include:
• Participation in New Ambassador Training (July)
• Attendance at mandatory admissions events, including Fall Open House and Graduation
• Participation in five outreach events throughout the academic year
• Clear communication with teachers regarding Ambassador commitments
• Ambassador events may occur during class time, after school, or occasionally on evenings and weekends.
