To learn about global politics and geography by training for and participating in mock United Nations sessions. Through Model United Nations we want to help increase people’s knowledge of other countries’ ways of life as well as diplomatic relations between them. The club accepts people who know about international affairs as well as those who have little to no prior knowledge of geography or global politics, and provides training to help participants be able to compete in Model UN sessions. While you don’t have to attend any competitions (many will likely be online), a large portion of the club’s activities will be geared towards looking to compete, such as procedure in an MUN session. However, there will also be presentations to help keep up with world events and hot topics around the globe, so these will be informative whether you wish to compete or not.
