AFFILIATION
The Los Angeles Archdiocese school system (Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Ventura) began in 1903 with 19 parochial schools, five academies, and a total enrollment of 2,895. Today, LAD is the fourth-largest diocese in the United States in number of Catholic schools, 270 (Elementary TK-8, Middle 6-8 and High School 9-12), and students enrolled (95,000). It is the third largest school district in the State of California.
