We have made changes to the 2017 – 2018 academic calendar.
Why are we making these changes? A closer look at what has become our traditional timing for events such as Baccalaureate, Graduation, and Final Examinations revealed a conflict between these activities and the administration of the annual Advanced Placement (A.P.) and International Baccalaureate (IB) exams.
Both the number of exams we administer and the students to whom they are administered require that we adjust the start and end dates of the calendar for the upcoming school year.

As a result, we have moved forward by a week both the starting and ending dates and associated activities in next year’s academic calendar.
Please note the following key dates and activities for the 2017 – 2018 school year, with the changed dates and associated activities in red:

June 12 – July 14: Summer School Session (no classes on July 3 & 4)
Late July: Courses and book lists with student ID and PIN number available for all students
August 8, 9 or 10: Schedule Pick-up / August 8th 4pm-7pm , August 9th 7:30am-4pm, August 10th 7am-8:30am
August 9: Freshman Orientation
August 10: First Day of School: Minimum Day / MANDATORY Senior Orientation (after school)
August 11: Full Day of School
November 20 – November 26: Thanksgiving Vacation
December 22 – January 8: Christmas Vacation

March 29 - April 8: Easter Vacation
May 26: Class of 2018 Graduation
June 1: Last Day of School
