2019 Summer Academic & Sports Programs

Damien High School is providing an opportunity for middle and high school students to get mentally and physical fit this summer. Damien summer programs are open to boys and girls (K-12; depending on the program) from private, public and home schools.

Damien is currently accepting registration for the following programs: academics, athletics, debate and robotics.

Summer school will be June 17-July 29 (no classes July 4-5).

For middle school students, academic courses offered include Math and English Enrichment to provide test-taking and content skill review for the high school placemen test.

For high school students, courses offered include English – Review for incoming freshmen, English Language & Literature, American Literature; Foreign Language – Spanish 1, 2, 3; Health & Physical Education; Mathematics – Review for incoming freshmen, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus; Science & Engineering  – Biology, Chemistry, Project Lead The Way Introduction to Engineering Design; Theology; Visual & Performing Arts – Introduction to Visual Art & Design, Photography. Hybrid courses in English and Math are available (combination of on-campus and on-line classes).

Tuition is $350 for a five (5) unit course, $700 for a ten unit course. Tuition includes a non-refundable $30 processing fee. The deadline to register for summer school is Friday, June 7. The nationally recognized Debate program is hosting a four-week summer workshop from July 9 to August 1, Monday-Thursday from 2-5 pm. All middle and high school students (public and private) from grades 6-12 are welcome to attend. Cost is $150 per week. For questions, contact Head Debate Coach Donny Peters, peters@damien-hs.edu.

The Damien Robotics Club is offering a one-week summer camp for middle and high school students: Robotics Summer Camp (programming, building and designing skills for competitive robotics) – July 22-26. Youth fitness enables a child to live healthier and develop stronger bodies, minds and spirits. Damien is offering youth sports camps in baseball (7-8th grade); cross country (all ages); lacrosse (6-13 years old); mountain biking (7-12th grade); tennis (6-8th grade); and wrestling (3-12th grade). Damien has also partnered with the Agua Caliente Clippers for a basketball youth camp, all skill levels (6-14 years).
