Damien Ranks as 3rd Most Challenging Catholic High School in the Nation
Every year The Washington Post ranks schools based on their success in challenging students. The index formula is a simple ratio: the number of Advanced Placement tests given at a school each year, divided by the number of seniors who graduated that year. A ratio of 1.000 means the school had as many tests as graduates. The Challenge Index is based on the premise that a challenging academic environment provides students with the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school. This year Damien's challenge index is 4.488, which ranks 30th among all private schools in the nation, 10th among private schools in California, and 3rd among Catholic Schools nationally!
