Damien teachers, staff, coaches, and administrators come together virtually to deliver a special message to our Spartan community.

During this unprecedented time Damien High School remain steadfast in our mission of educating our students to be men of service scholarship and faith and our goals for a graduate the whole true. We are preparing our Spartan men to not only adapt but also to thrive in an ever-changing world while having the support of a faith-filled environment that truly prepares a Damien graduate for the future. covid 19 passionate are truly connected our world is with rapidly changing circumstances our faculty quickly mobilized and found new ways to teach while our students adapted to new ways to learn and our campus shifted to a remote learning model Ric team faculty administrators students and parents adopted this new way of providing instruction in record time utilizing new ways to collaborate and communicate we have stayed connected have to learning moving forward and prayed with and for each other we have all learned that we can all do heart to serve each other our community and contribute to the greater good we believe it is more important for them to be prepared to meet whatever challenge we think our entire Spartan community of students teachers coaches staff and alumni for your support patience connection and prayers of protection we truly cannot wait to be back together on campus soon Damien faculty and staff have responded to the challenges and ever-changing dynamics of this evolving situation with bold action with Innovation with a keen focus on supporting her it has been said it's not what happens to you but how you handle it is what matters most reminder Perkins April 9th marks the official beginning of Easter break while our plans for what we have come to expect of the spring break change all of our families to embrace this time as an opportunity to celebrate Holy Week with faith and devotion in our homes while enjoying rest in a brain from our daily routines learning schedules and situations God bless this time Austin provides an opportunity for our faculty to reset and plan to continue remote instruction throughout the remainder of Arkansas closure hotels Macon I need the greater our decisions will be guided by the desk information and evidence provided so that we can continue to serve and protect our students while making decisions that contribute to the health and safety of our school community we want you to know that we are keenly aware questions regarding our plans for graduation prom summer programs and more we recognize that these are important concerns that will be addressed as soon as possible thank you for recognizing that as new information comes to us we will act inform you thanks Barton thank you parents thank U faculty and staff for your incredible response to these unprecedented circumstances remind me to Brotherhood Faith connection and all the next day in high school but do you need can blow place Spartan parents and devoted alumni have been incredible and much appreciated sources of encouragement to us we are deeply grateful for your continued prayers for our students and staff for health and healing as we work together to navigate the road ahead may God bless you all thank you
