Mike Castillo '00

Mike Castillo currently serves as Dean of Curriculum and is a member of the Social Science department. 

Mr. Castillo is a Damien alumnus (class of 2000) and has been a faculty member since 2004. In years past, he has taught AP US History, World History, Art History, Government, Economics, Algebra 2, Geometry, Journalism, and Yearbook.  For the 2016-2017 academic year, he is teaching AP European History and IB History.

Mr. Castillo completed his undergraduate education at Brown University, earning an A.B. in History. He also holds a California Single-Subject Teaching Credential (Social Science) and an M.A. in Catholic School Administration from Loyola Marymount University.  Mr. Castillo is continuing his graduate studies at LMU and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice.
