His six extra base hits topped all Southern League hitters during the week and ranked fourth in all of Double-A baseball, as well as tying for sixth in all of minor league baseball. His 1.319 OPS ranked second in the Southern League and seventh in Double-A baseball.

Pertusati becomes the fourth Sun to be honored with the weekly award by the Southern League this season, joining outfielder Marcell Ozuna (April 22-29), current Miami Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich (May 6-13) and current New Orleans Zephyrs outfielder Kyle Jensen (June 3-9). Former Suns and current Miami Marlins pitcher Henderson Alvarez was awarded the Southern League's Pitcher of the Week award (June 24-30).
