Develop at least one thesis statement that you can potentially use (with improvement and refining) for your HL Essay. You may develop a many thesis statement as you would like, but you must include at least one. This is year 2, so I expect more than just a few words or a phrase. For this assignment, you will pick 2 meme templates from the powerpoint below and create memes for 2 of the works that have been read over the 2 years of course of this class. Along with the memes you create you must explain how and why you created that meme? What does it mean? Why is it funny? Witty? Ironic? Essentially, you need to ecplain the rationale/logic behind the development of your meme. After I review all of the submitted memes, we will look at them (and hopefully laugh at them) together in class.
Reminder: Every single one of you has access to this powerpoint, so after you pick the slides/memes you want to work on, you can delete all the other slides that don't apply to you. Also, please make sure you put text boxes over the white spaces provided so that you can write your captions for the memes.

As 2nd year IB students, you should have a better understanding of yourself as an IB Learner and as a student in general. For this reflection, I want you to think about the assessments at hand (the IO and the HL Essay). How prepared are you for these assessments? What do you think you need the most help with? What do you feel most confident about? How do you expect to do on them? What are your strenghts? What are your weaknesses?
Due:
Please take some time to think about what you may want to write about in your HL Essay. Create a mind map on paper and then take a picture and post it as the submission for this assignment. Please make sure that this "map" is thorough, developed, and well thought out. Feel free to use color, bubbles, arrows, whatever works for you. Finally, give yourself some time to do this. I suggest completing this assignment in 2 sittings so that your brain has time to let the information "stew" in your mind.
MAKE SURE YOUR MAP IS LEGIBLE!
