Chemistry in the Community (Period 1) Assignments

Here is the weekly schedule I passed out last Monday in class as a reminder for all assignments and their due dates....remember I extended the due date for the 2 labs from this week to next Monday!  If completed before next Monday and turned in, then you can receive extra credit.

Study guide for the final (worth 10 points EC).  This will be collected the day of the final.  We will work on what we can during class on May 18th.  You should complete it before that date and then the class day will be a review.  

 

In addition the final extra credit....available to those with 2 zeros or less.... is also attached with due date listed.

Last Quiz of the semester worth 50 points.  Here is the study guide passed out last Wednesday.

4C.1 Lab due.  Extra credit if turned in early.

4A-4B Test worth 100 points.  Attached is the study guide worth a possible 10 points EC. Also on that day, I will collect the notebook for sections 4B.2-4C.2 and the handout from last week with the even questions completed and the odds for extra credit! will be available at lunch on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and after school on Thursday.  

4B.1 Lab due.

Lab Practical worth 50 points will be taken on the block day.  Attached is the study guide.  I will pass out a study guide in class on Tuesday.  

Last day to turn in any late  / missing work (including tests and labs) from this semester (all assignments listed as "graded" on Aeries) or they will be permanent zeros for the semester.  I am available at lunch Tuesday-Thursday and after school Wednesday-Friday for any help needed!  Mr. Borges will be in room 605 for an hour after school on Tuesday if anyone needs to work in the computer lab or turn in an assignment on that day!

4B.1 Lab on lab packet.

I will be in room 605 for any help needed on Monday April 6 and Tuesday April 7 from noon-3PM

4A Quiz.  Study Guide is 5 points Extra Credit.

4A.3 Lab due on paper.

Unit 2B-2C Notes and "Extra" Packets completed and turned in.  We will have completed the notes in class by Friday Feb. 27th.  You need to complete any of the pages not yet completed....because you missed school or were not focused on a day, etc.and get them in no later than Friday March 6th.

Lab 2B.8 should be completed and glued into the lab notebook by March 6th.  The lab data collection day will be Tuesday Feb. 24th and there will be some time on Wednesday Feb. 25th to work on it in class.  It is extra credit if turned in on or before Friday Feb. 27th.

100 point test on Unit 1 Sections A-C.  The study guide will be 10 points extra credit and it will be handed out this block day.

Unit Test on sections A-C on the block day.  Here is the study guide.  The first side can be completed on a separate sheet of paper for 5 points Extra credit and the problems (with all work shown) on the back page for an additional 5 points EC.  This is due the day of the test.

We will do the 2A.9 Lab in class on Thursday January 22 and you will have the class period on Friday January 23 to complete it.  The completed lab must be turned in by the end of the class period on Friday so you should make sure you have completed enough at home to finish just some of it in class.  It will NOT  be completed in the lab notebook, rather just on the handout.

The Section 2A Notes Packet should be completed through section 2A.8.

 

The additional packet for 2A should be completed through 2A.7. On the first page just the information on Boyle's Law needs to be filled in.

You will have the class period on Monday to work on the lab and it will be due at the BEGINNING of class on Tuesday.  I am available Monday during lunch for any help needed or to make up the lab as needed.

Here is the new homework sheet through November 14th.  Remember the quest (50 points) on section 1C is this block day (Nov. 6 &7)  and the group project is due December 2nd.

1A-1B Study Guide

Attached is the Homework sheet # 4 for Sept. 23-October 7.  I will be available for tutoring this week Tuesday-Wednesday at lunch in room 604 and Thursday and Friday after school in room 401.

Homework Sheet # 3 from September 8-September 23 is now posted.

Unit 1 Section A Quiz is this week during the block day (Thursday is Block A and Friday is Block B) In addition, on the block day,  the notebook containing all Unit 0 and Unit 1 assignments will be due.  All assignments will be listed on the board all week.

The LAST day to turn in any late work, make up tests or labs for anything due from 8/8-9/10 is this Thursday, 9/11.  No work or labs or tests will be accepted or can be made up after this day for the rest of the semester!!!  This is the LAST day!!!!  I am in my classroom (Room 604 or 605) at lunch on Wednesday- Friday this week and after school on Monday and Thursday.
