Just a reminder about the short MC part of our first test on Monday and the essay portion on Tuesday!!

 

Some focal points:

 

Colonial settlement including purpose, role of religion, government, economics, leaders, etc.

Anglican Church- how / why formed?

Liberty in the colonies - what did it mean and what was its basis?

English views of Native Americans and the issue of land ownership

Puritans: basics of beliefs, leaders, why did they flee England? Half-Way covenant, role of divine grace

Dissenters: Williams, Hutchinson, Hooker

Colony of Maryland: founding, religious issues
