Damien High School

3rd Annual Food Truck and Movie Night to Benefit Biking Programs

Damien High School is hosting its third annual Food Truck & Movie Night on Saturday, August 19. Doors Open at 5:30 pm. Movie starts at 8:00 pm. Early bird tickets are $ 8 per person. Tickets at the door will be $12. Children six years of age and under are free. The feature film will be Academy Award winner “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” featuring Harrison Ford and Sean Connery.

This fundraising event is a night for family and friends to gather under the stars on the Damien High School Baseball Field. Guests are welcome to bring blankets and chairs. The night will include various food trucks, games, raffles, music and other fun activities for adults and kids. Last year, over 700 people attended this event.

All proceeds benefit the Damien Mountain Biking and Road Biking Team. This year, the plan is to purchase team bikes for students who want to compete but are unable to afford the cost of a bike and to add more bikes to the high-tech training program.

The Mountain Biking program is entering its fifth year in the SoCal NICA Mountain Biking League. The team is comprised of over 20 students from Damien and St. Lucy’s Priory High School.

Raffle tickets are $5 each. Team sponsors such as InCycle have donated prizes including a GoPro.
