Catholic Education Foundation

The mission of the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) is to provide tuition assistance to the most financially deserving students attending Catholic elementary and high schools within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Average award amount: $2,000 per student.

Due to the large number of applicants within the Los Angeles archdiocese, CEF has a limited amount of funding available and sets strict income guidelines. Verify that you and your household meet CEF's income guidelines for financial eligibility (see CEF Income Eligibility 2020-21 PDF below).

If you meet CEF's income guidelines, then please continue with the Next Steps below.

CEF applications are now open. All incoming 9th grade students (current 8th grade students) are encouraged to apply. Please be aware that CEF awards are granted on a first come, first served basis. Complete all required documents and submit to Damien High School. The deadline to apply has been extended to January 17, 2020. Award announcements are usually made in March.

Need additional information or assistance?
If you have additional questions related to CEF, please contact Ms. Kim Reigel, or 909-596-1946 x277.

If you do not meet the CEF income eligibility, but need tuition assistance, you are encouraged to apply for a Spartan Grant through the FACTS Grant & Aid Application. You will have an opportunity to apply for a Spartan Grant AFTER your completed application packet to Damien High School has been submitted.

Please Note: a complete Damien High School application packet includes the application, a $75 application fee, and all required documents from your son's current school, including recommendations, transcripts/report card. An incomplete application to Damien High School will delay review of your Grant & Aid Application.
