This Year:
For the 2021-2022 school year, I have the pleasure of teaching AP Language, Honors English II, and Theater Arts. I am also  the head of the Oki Gakuen Foreign Exchange Program in partnership with our sister school in Japan.  
 
Teaching Background:
This is my 6th year teaching at Damien High School and my 9th year teaching overall. Previously, I have taught as an adjunct English instructor at ITT Technical Institute and in the writing center at Cal State Fullerton. I have always been passionate about research and academics, and I hope my passion comes across in my teaching. 
 
Academic Background:
I graduated with a B.A. in English Literature and a Minor in Theater Arts from the University of Redlands in 2012, then earned an M.A. in English Literature from Cal State Fullerton in 2015. My Master's research and dissertation focused on aesthetic marginalia, but I also take a great interest in thriller and horror literature written specifically for children and young adults (think the Goosebumps series, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, etc). Next on the list: a PhD!
