Description
The course objectives include: understanding the basic make-up of the earth including the various rocks, minerals, and resources found within the planet. Understanding the various earth changing forces at work including weathering, glaciers, earthquakes, plate tectonics, and volcanoes. Learning how the earth is also influenced by weather by looking at meteorology and climate change. Gaining a basic understanding of the earth as viewed from outer space, including its place within the solar system and the various necessities for earth to harbor life.
