Indoor Program (Winter/Spring Semester)

Indoor Drumline
  • Musicians interested in competing during the winter season are invited to try out for our indoor drum line.  Tryouts are usually held in December and practices begin in January. The Damien Spartan Regiment competes in the Southern California Percussion Alliance circuit (www.sc-pa.org).  Indoor drum line shows are based on a theme, similar to the field season and are choreographed to tell a story.  All members will receive a custom uniform that supports the show's theme.

  • Competitions are held on Saturdays and Sundays in late February and early March. Championships are held in early April and only the top 12 drumlines qualify for championships.  Prelims are usually the last Saturday in March. There are usually 20-25 members and transportation to shows is coordinated by parent carpools. There are no overnight trips for indoor drumline

Winterguard

  • Color Guard members interested in competing during the winter season are invited try out for our Winter Guard team.  These shows are held indoors and are 3-4 minute choreographed shows performed to music and are based on a theme. The team will have a costume that reflects the show theme for the season.

  • The Winter Guard competes in the WGASC circuit (wgasc.org). Competitions are held on Saturdays starting in late February through late April.  Travel to competitions is coordinated via parent carpools. There are no competitions that require overnight travel.
