Field Program (Fall Semester)
The Damien Regiment is a field show band and competes in the Western Bands (www.westernbands.com) circuit as well as SCSBOA (http://www.scsboa.org/) circuit.
The fall program includes the Color Guard, Horn line/Winds section, Marching Percussion (battery) as well as a front ensemble, also known as “the pit”.
- The Regiment performs their field show during the halftime of the home football games. In addition, the hornline and the battery serve as the pep band for all of the home football games. We do not travel to the away games.
- Football games are Friday evenings at 7:00. The Regiment will practice after school on Fridays and then will eat dinner together prior to the game.
- The Regiment usually competes in two weekday evening competitions and two Saturday competitions in late October and early November. These four competitions are held in Southern California and the group travels together by bus. They also compete in the state competition in Fresno which is held the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Fresno competition involves a weekend hotel stay and the group travels together by charter bus. This trip is included as part of the band fees although there is usually an additional charge for Saturday evening dinner.
