Damien Days in the Community
A class-wide day of service connected to classroom curriculum!
Freshman Class - A Earth Day of Service in April
Sophomore Class - A day of Building Beloved Community in January
After School Tutoring
Damien students team up and tutor parish schools: Holy Name of Mary, Our Lady of Assumption.
Students work with Inland Valley Hope Partners and Pomona College to glean fruit from volunteered trees. The harvest is donated to local food pantries run by IVHP.
Students coordinate, prepare, and distribute hot meals to homeless communities in the city of Pomona.
Operation Thanksgiving / Christmas / Easter
Students and parents prep and cook holiday meals to be delivered to no and low income families. Gifts, care kits, clothing, children's books, and other goodies are collected and offered along with these warm meals.
From One to Another
Collecting warm jackets and rain coats for those experiencing homelessness in winter months.
Extra Lunch Program
Each week students construct non-perishable lunches to be distributed to local school children living in poverty.
Each week student-led teams collect plastic and aluminum from around campus. As well, they encourage classroom recycling of paper.
