We have to give a huge shout out to Mrs. Emily Patten, International Students Program Coordinator, and our international students. Today, Damien celebrated the 5th Annual Cultural Awareness & Lunar New Year Celebration! Damien is a diverse community that recognizes the beauty and uniqueness of each individual, their families and heritage.
Special thanks to Mrs. Patten who provided planning, hard work and dedication to make this day happen, to the family & friends of students who helped support, cook and work the event, the facilities and custodial teams for their service and kindness and to faculty/staff for supporting the students and the event. The Celebration included the Grammy Award winning Mariachi Divas, Korean Samuelnori (percussion team), Chinese Lion and Dragon dances, German schuhplattler (folk dance), piñatas, noodle eating contest, ping pong, and more!
