ART SHOW IS THIS SATURDAY, MAY 5TH... IN ACTIVITY CENTER

The Visual Performing Arts Department welcomes all family, friends and fellow Spartans to the second annual festival on Saturday, May 5 from 2 pm to 8 pm in the Event Center. The event is open to the community. Admission is free. The festival showcases student accomplishments, creations and works during the 2017-18 academic year. With over 250 pieces of art on display and performances, this is an art walk you won’t want to miss. VPA is comprised of Theatre Arts, Cinematic Arts and Music. The schedule for the day: exhibits on display during entire event, Theatre Arts performance at 3 pm, Cinematic Arts short film series at 4 pm, and the Jazz band takes stage at 5 pm. Come on out and support the Arts!

Film Adaptation Individual Work Information

Producer: Production Schedule is due Friday May 4th. Must have at least ten dates on it. PRINT IT OUT.
 
Director: Marked Script is due Friday May 18th. Must have at least 50 markings.
 
Scriptwriter: Script is due Friday May 11th. Script must be in the original format we went over for your first project and must be at least ten pages long. PRINT IT OUT.
 
Cameraman: Shot list is due Friday May 18th. Must have at least 50 shots. PRINT IT OUT.
 
Editor: Edit log is due Wednesday May 23rd. Must have at least ten edit sessions. PRINT IT OUT.
 
Artist: Story board is due Wednesday May 23rd. Must have at least ten pages, remember to use color and add a short sentence per square. 
 
Actor: Actor essay is due Wednesday May 23rd. It must be at least a page and a half long. PRINT IT OUT.

Director: Marked Script - Monday March 26th.
 
Screenwriter: Two Column Script - Tuesday March 20th.
 
Editor: Edit log - Tuesday March 27th.
 
Cameraman: Shot list - Monday March 26th.
 
Artist: Storyboard - Wednesday March 28th.
 
Actor: Actor Essay - Monday April 9th.
           Interview Questionnaire - Monday March 26th.

Shot List - - Template

Attached is the template for creating the shot list. - - For this first project you must put together at least 20 shots. Remember to make sure the timing of all the shots adds up to a minute and a half to two minutes. 

Due Dates: Individual Work: PSA Project

Below are the due dates for each person(s) individual work:
 
SCREEN WRITER: Script is due on Tuesday February 13th.
 
PRODUCER: Production schedule is due on Monday February 12th. The Production notebook will be due the day the final project is turned in - - March 5th.
 
DIRECTOR: The Marked script will be due Friday February 16th. 
 
CAMERA MAN: The Shot list is due Tuesday February 20th. 
 
EDITOR: The Edit log is due Wednesday February 28th. 
 
ACTOR(S): The Actor essay is due the day the final project is turned in - - March 5th.
 
ARTIST(S): The Story board will be due Wednesday February 28th. 

Grade Scale Changes

With the start of the new semester comes the film projects that you and your class mates will come together to create. Below is the new grade scale with the percentages that each category will represent. 
 
Classwork: 10%
Homework: 10%
Test: 25%
Projects: 25
Individual Work (Projects): 30%
